I love short poetry, it creates powerful imagery that can speak volumes. In a deft hand a short piece such as this can be quite breathtaking.

Your short piece fits the bill. It has the look and feel of a haiku which gives it that dreamlike quality that makes this an intoxicating piece. Good short poetry is hard to do and you have done it well.

It's been too long, Cherrie, since I came to see you.
Poetic wonderment like this little piece is what I've been missing.
Your imagery never fails to steal me away, and this most definitely does that … sooo very poignantly.
All is spot-on, except L2, which is not only out of count, but grammatically incorrect (ripples moves).
Consider this (without changing the essence of your meaning) to bring it into form:

lone dove softly coos
tiny ripples slowly move
thru a pool of tears

Whatever, this piece proves there is beauty in sadness.

A lovely scene which is drawn by a clever poet. Short poems sometimes have a more vivid image than the long ones, and this is one of the marvelous short poems.
