faint outlineA Poem by Cherrie L Billthe moon seen by dayGhostly image in a cobalt sky,
barely more than a faint outline.
You inspire by night, as lovers coo.
Beneath your tender covering,
your shadows gently move.
Yet here you are in light of day,
daring and bold as slowly you fade way.
Eagerly awaiting your turn to beam
as the sitting of the sun sets you free.
A ridgeline of pines snake up the ridge
While cascading aspens make a hillside descend,
I from my window see the vast sky unfold.
And there before me, I see you wax full and bold. © 2017 Cherrie L BillFeatured Review
