Not sure where you are going with this exhilarating tale, but you are clearly off to a good start ... I do hope your character used .22 Magnum's, since they do carry a lot more knock down power ... Either way, a .22 is a much deadlier weapon than most people realize, and the preferred weapon of most assassins ...

well as far as the gun goes I have a P95 and I thought that was to big to have behind the nightstand.. read morewell as far as the gun goes I have a P95 and I thought that was to big to have behind the nightstand so I sized it down, and I'm going to try my hand at telling the story in reverse .

Ah, I see, said the blind man ... You are thinking of beginning your tale with, perhaps, a muzzle fl.. read moreAh, I see, said the blind man ... You are thinking of beginning your tale with, perhaps, a muzzle flash and shots ringing out, to then tell the tale of how things got to such a desperate, but necessitated, point of putting an end to a man who was never going to stop beating his woman ... A .22 is a fairly quite gun, except for .22 Magnum ... A few years ago a friend of mine was forced to put down an injured bull ... He fired several rounds, point blank, right between that bull's eyes with a 9mm pistol ... The damn bullets were ricocheting right off that bull's skull, not even making a dent in that poor suffering animals head ... I suggested he downsize to something with less knockdown power, but known for its killing ability: A .22 ... He went inside and brought out a .22 pistol and shot that bull, and rather than richocheting the .22 made a tiny little hole in the bull's skull and it dropped like a rock--one shot, over and done with ... Real life story ... Never underestimate a .22 ... They are also known for entering the body and bouncing around and making a mess of people's insides ... My father-in-law was shot several times, years ago, with a .22 and it really messed him up ... I believe he still has one slug lodged in his back that the doctors were not able to remove ... All for the pleasure of courting another man's wife ... Karma is a wheel that sometimes wields a .22 pistol ... Anyway, I like your new idea, no mater what you decide to to do ...

Whilst this is dramatic, it moves in a finely controlled way.. building tension phrase by phrase, adding quite new elements here and there, eg. the embezzling, mother's cancer. Each, all, adding flesh to the story, and, to that great finish.
