Eastern Wind

Eastern Wind

A Poem by Cherrie
"

a winter day

"

Winter’s wheat with a hint of red gently yields to an eastern wind.

Brittle leaves earthen toned scatter easily across the barren ground.

Heather gray spreads through the sky

as heavy clouds blot out the light.

Tiny finch darts for cover

as a mighty shadow

  reveals,

a predator searching for his supper.

ohhhhhhhhhhhh scene has me drawn right in it ..closing says don't get too comfortable tho .. ;) having it be an Eastern wind is interesting for me...most of the winter blasts are from the wnw ... but i live in the midwest ... truly enjoyed every word and phrase ..
