Lumbering SunA Poem by Cherrie L Bill

and an ashen ridge of clouds creates an overhang. The job of the sun is not yet seen, as he climbs for the easternmost peak. A crimson glow is seen from behind. As the sun summits the clouded line. Just that quick the image shifts and like a tumbling tide the wall is split. The shattered pieces drift away and a lumbering sun warms the day. © 2021 Cherrie L BillReviews
