From my morning reading. this post is a beautiful poem by Emily Dickinson. Also I have attached a picture of her from the public domain

“Hope”
is the thing with feathers -
That perches in the soul -
And sings the tune without the words -
And never stops - at all -

And sweetest -in the Gale - is heard -
And sore must be the storm -
That could abash the little Bird -
That kept so many warm -

I’ve heard it in the chilliest land -
And on the strangest Sea -
Yet - never - in Extremity,
It asked a crumb - of me.

I get the feeling if I read some Emily I would have a better understanding. I like your structure and thoughts. Just a touch dark and heavy but light enough to be carried on a wing. The line 'and sore must be the storm' made me think of current events. Russia's storm is getting sore in resistance.

I swear autocorrect is more active when I'm logged in to the cafe. And everything is jumpy too. Maybe autocorrect is jealous that we write phrases without the need because we're all taking liberties with the English language.

And then there's the ads. Disgusting images that pop up in the middle of poems. I was reading Gounwah and that ad for vintage mature pictures of people doing some god awful thing to somebody. Disgusting!
