The Moon and Her ChildrenA Poem by Cherrie L Bill
Full in bounty the Moon and her children take to the night,
Richly expressing the joy of a new day, they sing. Twinkling lights are so far away, slowly lose sound. Their chimes can now only be heard in our thoughts, As we watch the dance in admiration. We stretch back on blankets to star gaze. The ling-long- ding-dong of lights play. The eyes refract their beauty. twinkling all the next day. the shy Moon now veiled. So deftly hid. With daybreak, the last, ping. © 2022 Cherrie L BillReviews
