Moonbeams

a cold Winter's night

The crisp cold night added depth to the valley. 

The sleeping wind nestled in the trees, 

waiting for the first light of day. 

While the easy moving stream, 

pooled lighted moonbeams in the eddy.

Have you ever noticed that on clear cold nights everything seems more focused.

At my age I try to stay inside on cold nights but I do recall it from my youth, especially the night sky full of stars. If we get a full moon on a cold clear night around here I expect the coyote packs will be roaming around, I chased one off out of my yard about a week ago.

i feel serene and full of gratitude in reading and experiencing the scene .. strong imaging says i! for me very emotive .. love the quiet of deep woods .. moonbeams and pooling streams .. the other day the holler out back ... just the holler .. was filled with thick cloudlike fog ... made me just "take a moment" .. thanks for sharing my friend!!
