Lazy days beneath the sun

Lazy days beneath the sun

A Poem by Cherrie L Bill

Sunbeams have lulled me to slumber. While the breeze rocks the boat. Here in the fullness of this October day I cling to my sweater as I soak in the sun. The vessel pulls against the rope as it waxes and wanes with the tide. I can hear a sandpiper loudly complaining on the beach and her boisterous squawking rouses me from rest. So, I take the opportunity to pour some lemon ginger tea from my thermos, and then make the long stroll back to my car.

I love everything about this wonderful, dreamy scene. The descriptions had me there with you. I could even taste the lemon ginger tea. Thank you for sharing.
