Alluded

Alluded

A Poem by Cherrie-Bill

Countless spirits descended
As my soul abated

Crowding out my day
Heavy eyelids encumbered

Not my heart
just my sight

As a restful sleep
Alluded.

Being an English teacher, "alluded" is one of my favorite words.
The heart needs its rest...
And if our soul is in a state of serenity, our sleep will be sweet dreams.
