The Dancing Curtain

The Dancing Curtain

A Poem by Cherrie
"

poem about morning rain

"

Veiled lightning through morning slumber gently stirs my scenes.

Soon dreams are overladen by the growing sound of thunder.

Rustling curtain dances in the breeze as the smell of

rain  wake me from my sleep.

The rhythmic patter soothes my mind and these

soporific sounds lull me to a  peaceful sleep.

Yes Ms. Cheerie. who doesn't love to lie in bed and listen to the rhythm and the smell of falling rain. unless you have a picnic planned or a round of golf. lol

'The rhythmic patter soothes' is my favourite dab. You make the rain seem like esp pleasing poetry. I like the way it lulls you back to sleep. What a pleasant moment to way, to feel soothed and then to sleep again. Bliss.

Such drifting gentle brushes across the screen, silver rain, pervading every sense until .. the mighty thunder rushes a reckles beat of weather against glass .. until it calms sweet breeze-echoed sleep. Your words are lovely. This poem is such a spirit sweetening one, especially as my weather has been almost non stop rain for weeks! You've reminded me of its blessings, thank you!
