This is freedom

This is freedom

A Poem by Cheryl J. Turner

Vitality in shatter

This is freedom

Liberty has won

Happiness peaked

Blood let

This is me standing alone

Desire no more

Deep seated problem

Hatred as inspiration

This is life

I have what I need

Mind receiving

To feel pain with clarity

This is me

Rapture at intake of knowledge

Burnt fingers

Weathered toes

This is freedom

Liberty has won

Rapture at intake of knowledge

Once more impressive. I think(and i could be wrong) what you were trying to express is that freedom comes from embracing experience for what it is, in all its wonder or terror either one rather than trying to be happy at the expense of facing reality which is what many people try to do. Good work:)

See i like this piece..alot..
it is bold, bare and has the feel of a mini-spoken word..
Just say it is my motto..

very nicely done (and your writes are very understandable)

Anger is a very powerful emotion that is usually powered by hurt and deep hurt. This poem shows only only the anger but the hurt as well. Great job.

A outstanding poem of Freedom. Each line adding to a powerful ending. Freedom and liberty are precious things we must hold on to and fight to keep. A excellent poem.
