I wished for you

As I laid in bed

The thought of you

Not leaving my head

I see that that time

Has come yet again

11:11 PM

 

As I close my eyes

Shutting them tight

I whisper aloud

“I love you and goodnight”

I say it a few times

It sounds good

 

But I forgot one part

You still aren’t here

You are missing from me

So as I shut my eyes again

I wish

‘Please come back to me’

 

As 11:12 appears on the clock

I roll over in bed and drift off

 

Someday it will work

I think to myself

And that marks day 138

 

And as I drift off to sleep

I dream that someday my love will come back to me.
