46.

46.

A Poem by Chloe Madison Taylor.
"

I'm writing this for noone but myself.

"

So I drove 46 miles

nursing a headache with a scratchy radio

wind

and endless interstate.

lie to me.

lie to me.

tell me you wanted me there.

Counting curbs and street signs

looking for a yellow house I thought was white.

Tell me you wanted me there.

Found it on a street I already forgot the name of

physical contact, less than nothing

Counting your steps as you walked back inside

to your yellow house I thought was white

not caring, not listening.

lie to me.

Tell me you want me there.
