"Are we going out tonight?"
"Would you rather stay in and fight?"
"Can I borrow your shirt?"
"Only if I can borrow that skirt"

"I don't like this place"
"Maybe they don't like your face"
"Perhaps we should go back"
"If you do don't forget to pack"

"I wanted to stay"
"There'll be another day"
"I don't like it here"
"You've made that very clear"

"That needle is mine"
"Okay I'll stick to the wine"
"There's lots of other stuff"
"Perhaps I've had enough"

"Do I look a sight?"
"Your face is very white"
"I feel very ill"
"Perhaps you need a pill?"

"What's up my love, are you okay?"
"I think I'm about to make your day"
"What's up my love, are you about  to cry?"
"No but I think I'm about to die"

wow. reality hits hard with this poem. there are couples out there like that. and this could even be applied to an abusive relationship without the drugs. it just really hits home. this is one of my favs of yours. i like the style too. a conversation throughout the whole poem. awesome
