MirrorsA Poem by ChrisNot knowing yourself as well as you thought. If I'm your reflection then you must be a thing of beauty Because in the right kind of light I could swear you were a star Yes, that's exactly what you are. Though it's always better to consider all of the great things. You glimpse in this mirror to make sure you haven't gone anywhere. Yes, you're still there. But then the lights go out And you're filled with nothing but doubt. Too bad you didn't see this coming around but don't you look down. Don't you look down. If I'm your reflection Then tell me why I can't be more clear And what's going on with all these tears? All these fears? Your face in broken pieces I thought you wore the crown. Look at me more often and you'd see the truth. You're not the only one. You're one of many prisoners Here among all of these... Mirrors.
