You were young

So was I

Every night getting drunk

On life we were high

But soon our sun

Fell from the sky

We crashed and burned

I can’t deny

Our love we spurned

In front of our eyes

So hollow we returned

With nothing but lies

Lies we told

Lies we heard

Wish we were wise

Now I’m getting old

And you’re not by my side

Even though it turned out cold

My love for you was always pure

Every night in your hold

I’ll spend my nights I was sure

But baby you’re gone

My heart was your home

It hurts when I think of us

Look what you did to us

Baby what you did to us?

On the roof every night

Whenever a smoke I light

Its nothing but you

I’m missing by my side

Going through emotions

I no longer recognise

No matter wrong or right

still wanna hold you tight

Just wanna let you know

Baby It’s gonna be all right

Maybe it’s time to let go

Off the girl I’ve forever known

How can I burn these memories?

In my dreams they forever grow

Even though it turned out cold

My love for you was always pure

Hiii Chromophonik!!

Such heartbreat in this poem. That connection that bond we had with someone that leaves all of a sudden. It's such a helpless feeling to go through. Ahhhh the after affects of a relationship....I can totally relate.
