Fire Burst autobombers have long been one of the flashiest, most explosive mapping builds in Path of Exile-and one of my personal favorites. With the newest league adding fresh tools, unique interactions, and smoother automation, the archetype is more satisfying than ever.

In this article, I'll break down the complete setup behind my latest Fire Burst Autobomber, including the gear, the passive tree, cluster jewels, crafting steps, and why specific choices were made. I won't re-explain the entire mechanical concept-veteran players already know how Fire Burst triggers play out-but instead focus on the items, upgrades, and reasoning that make this version so powerful.

Core Uniques: Headhunter & Lost Unity

The build starts with two easily recognizable signatures: Headhunter and the new Lost Unity ring.

Headhunter-Still the Autobomber King

Autobombers are built around speed, chain reactions, and stacking temporary power. Headhunter enhances everything:

 insane movement speed

 massive damage ramps

 endless on-kill utility buffs

If you dislike HH's playstyle, Mageblood works perfectly-granting consistent defenses and flask uptime. A well-rolled influenced rare belt also works, especially one that boosts DoT multipliers or movement speed.

Lost Unity-Herald of the Hive

Lost Unity introduces the new Herald of the Hive skill. This creates the pulsing nova you see swirling around your character. It acts as an additional hit source to:

 trigger Fire Burst more often

 increase clear consistency

 supplement older setups that used Herald of Thunder shock tech

Previously, autobombers had to rely on Shaper of Storms or shaping shock mechanics to automate triggers. Now, Herald of the Hive simplifies everything.

The Build-Defining Weapon: The Fire Burst Staff

This staff is the heart of the build-costly, difficult, frustrating, and absolutely mandatory for top-end performance. Mine cost roughly 600 divines, which was ironically cheaper than previous attempts. Crafting it follows several key steps.

1. Fracture Fire Damage

Start with a fractured "% increased Fire Damage" suffix. You can manipulate bases via recombinators and attribute swapping if needed.

2. Essence Spam for Fire Burst

Use Fire Burst Essences until you land:

 Fire Burst

 Damage over Time Multiplier (extremely rare; ~1 in 300)

3. Veiled Chaos + Suffix Lock

Use "Suffixes cannot be changed" �' slam a Veiled Exalt �' unveil until you hit the 50% DoT multiplier veiled mod.

4. Clean Up Prefixes

Use Harvest "Remove Lightning" (or caster) until you have the ideal prefix set. Lightning is preferred for a higher max hit value.

5. Final Prefix Craft

Craft Gain % of Fire as Extra Chaos Damage, the strongest possible option.

6. Implicit Perfection

Use Tempering Orbs or Tailoring Orbs to reach:

 10�"15% fire explicit modifier

Higher tiers require more attributes-but you can bypass this with perfect Timeless Jewel rolls that remove attribute requirements.

This staff is a nightmare to craft, but the result is a pure mapping weapon that instantly vaporizes screens.

The Explode Chest: Twilight Regalia With Elevated Explosion

The second cornerstone is an Elevated Explode Twilight Regalia.

How to Craft It

1.Acquire two Crusader bases:

 One with double T1 Energy Shield

 One with either Explode or Elevated Explode

2.Recombine until:

 Both ES prefixes carry over

 The Explode mod transfers

 Item base becomes Twilight Regalia

3.Fix suffixes via reforges, Harvest, or Aisling.

This armor ensures chain reactions, ignites, and proliferated Fire Bursts instantly clear full packs.

Simplex Amulet: High-End DoT Craft

This amulet is surprisingly complex. The goal? A high-tier Damage over Time Multiplier roll plus a Hunter "Fire DoT Multiplier."

Steps:

 Start with a white base.

 Spam Memory Strand until you hit a strong base (80�"86 score).

Imprint.

 Roll DoT multiplier (rare).

 Annul twice-keep the DoT mod.

 Regal, then slam a Hunter exalt hoping for Fire DoT Multi.

Lock suffixes �' Reforge Speed.

 Upgrade Tier 2 �' Tier 1 with Orbs of Unmaking (if lucky).

Finish with the best crafted prefix available.Rings, Helmet, Gloves & Boots

Curse-on-Hit Ring

Craft method:

 Spam DoT essences for T1 resist

 Lock suffixes �' Reforge Defense for energy shield

 If helmet upgrades were better, I'd move the resist to the helm and add Fire Damage here

 Double-Influenced Helmet

A rare yet crucial item:

 Enemies take increased Fire Damage

 Enemies have reduced Fire Resistance

 Exalted slam for ES

 Aisling for AoE

This piece is expensive and tilted me so badly I settled for a chaos resistance roll instead of perfection.

 Dense Fossils for triple T1 defenses

 Veiled suffix for stats

 Implicits: Fire DoT Multi + Fire Exposure

Goal: two T1 resists + movement speed

 Lock suffixes �' Wild Bristle Matron for movement speed prefix

 Implicits for Fire DoT and ES

This is expensive but not mechanically hard.
