A Poem by peter Duggan
"

Travelling through my life

"

The Road That I have Travelled

Along the road that I have travelled

So often in the past

I learned the wisdom of the ages

In a place that is so vast

It’s where the fire always burns

For the phoenix bird to rise

I did discover as I went

The source of all things wise

Those gifts beyond, they touched my soul

My heart was opened wide

I saw the breath of all that is

In a world so deified

There wrapped within a cloak of care

Loves fullness of renewal

It tenderly reached out to me

It was so wonderful

Peaceful tomorrows they became

My life forever more

I know that when I see that river

And rest upon its shores

I then will cross it happily

And join in with the dance

That gives my heart such wondrous joy

As It does me enhance
