WallsA Poem by Cibs
I put up walls so high
the only way you can't see inside. Brick doors guard my heart the only way you can't see me falling apart. Never once did I let you in, and never once have I let you win my heart, my soul, my trust. How did you ever believe in us? I'd rather you fall than leave my heart open, and I'd rather run than to ever show it. I'm sorry for all the hurt I've caused you, but I can't stay with my heart unguarded. I see now that you truly tried, I do see now through the tears I've cried. But I'm not the one for you, and I'm not the one you need. I'm just a girl too wrapped up in her own greed. © 2013 Cibs |
