old poetry

A Poem by Circe

i let my old poetry die
the way you burn off a mole
that's been unlucky
in bright sunlight
and i hadn't missed my past thoughts
until i met you

cause it's like
we never existed before today

the good past thoughts...the ones that seemed to die are reborn when we find love again...

i happen to scroll down and pick this one because i feel like an old poem myself

but this is so cool...and i agree with Neville...only 2 reviews? Don't understand that!

I do not understand why this has not received more reviews to date, after all it is precisely what my single predecessor 'alifeacoustic says it is 'Superb words' and I too thank you for sharing them here......N

A very beautiful write about writing and the enjoyment we can sometimes forget it brings. Until this week, I hadn't written for two years, but once it does, it is like a colour you forgot about, or a flavour you forgot how much you remembered. Superb words. Thank you for sharing them.
