~Untitled IA Poem by Clyde du CoeurPart one of the trilogy.“I haven’t got anyone to dance with.” “I’ll dance with you.” He whispers in my ear, “let me just go and put my drink down.” I nod and wait - who knows, he may not come back. But he does... and we dance in full view of J, R and N to name a few. We groove opposite each other. Any chance of a twirl? I begin to wonder. But he reads my mind. He twirls me one way and I think I’m going back but he twirls as well and we end up close... very close. I look at him. He looks at me. Then it happens... I tilt my head one way, as does he, but the opposite way so to link us. He opens his mouth and I open mine. He caresses my tongue with his own and we play ‘tongue twister’ for several seconds. I feel passionate heat rising as quickly as condensations spreads on the windows. Almost automatically, we pull away in unison. I smile at him, and he smiles at me. He tells me he’s going to get a drink. I let him and feel dazed and happily confused as he walks away. I feel a tap on my shoulder; it’s N congratulating me, and smiles all round. Why?
