The Diary I Turned into Ashes

The Diary I Turned into Ashes

A Poem by Red
"

A fiery outpouring of rage, this piece is about destroying the remnants of trust and memories—but even in the ashes, some pain refuses to die. Rage burns through every page, leaving only

"

I had a diary"
A diary that held countless memories:

Of someone,
Of certain moments.
They were filled
With joy and laughter.

The memories"
Of a warm hand;
Of someone I thought
I could trust;
Of someone I thought
I could share my sorrows with;
Of someone I thought
Would value them.

A proverb goes,

“To err is human.”
After all, I'm one of them.

I erred" A grave one,

This time.

The diary"
It had my faults.

So I burned it down.
I destroyed it.

I could turn every page
Into ashes"
Every page
That carried those memories.

Except one.

The one
That was carved
With my tears.

Red
It's a fierce, personal reflection on rage and betrayal—written to burn through the pain that words alone cannot erase.
