Alone

Alone

A Poem by Cody

In the end we are all alone

No matter how much love we are shown

There is no cure

But we are all caught on hopes lure

We fight and strive

To save that light inside

But truth be told

We all grow cold.

In this world all our solaces are fleeting

And our hearts are barely beating

So cut out my heart and throw it to the wind

No one can pretend to cherish it then

Dude, BAD TIMING! Or was it perfect timing? This is exactly what I'm going through right now. I don't mean I've been feeling this for a week or anything... I mean, LAST NIGHT, Cody. I'm SO truly affected by this piece. Thanks SO MUCH for writing this. Amazing. I love it.
