What A Nice Night

Would you dance with me
And flash me your I.D?
I think your part of something underground
But I can’t be sure

Throw me into the club
Colors changing like the leaves
This year it was like that
Just so rapid and new
Left me with a migraine but it’s cool

You always wanted a cat
I always wanted a lap
So put me down for a moment
Just to see if you like it
You said you don’t
Said you love it
What a nice night
And we’re above it all

This is an interesting poem. It’s fast paced and colorful and the last stanza was a change up from the imagery but I liked it best because that’s how nights like that end. Been a while since my clubbing days but I can relate to the feel the of this, actually I kind of shuddered, don’t miss those days but I had fun. I like this.
