Would you dance with me
And flash me your I.D?
I think your part of something underground
But I can’t be sure
Throw me into the club
Colors changing like the leaves
This year it was like that
Just so rapid and new
Left me with a migraine but it’s cool
You always wanted a cat
I always wanted a lap
So put me down for a moment
Just to see if you like it
You said you don’t
Said you love it
What a nice night
And we’re above it all
This is an interesting poem. It’s fast paced and colorful and the last stanza was a change up from the imagery but I liked it best because that’s how nights like that end. Been a while since my clubbing days but I can relate to the feel the of this, actually I kind of shuddered, don’t miss those days but I had fun. I like this.

Ah! your sweetness, friskiness, your attractive self* dear Cat~ in this alluring uplifting poem, yet I feel this hint of sadness through your words, but it only added more allure... I always enjoy reading your unique mind and style.
Wonderful dance of words my dear friend.

Hi there,
Oh boy how I remember those crazy days… your poem certainly expressed it well.
I do miss the dancing in the 70’s
Needed to go back and reread it as I believe there is so much hidden meaning beneath your words.
Ah metaphors…love them.

A consummately composed poem, with some delightful imagery! Kind of like one of Franz Marc's Expressionist paintings translated into a poem! I like it!
