A-Stray

STRAY, the carpet is enfeebled. Unweaving such carmine footprints,

listing the ways to count the distance. Measurements and assumptions. Love,

the silver lights, the slivers of light, reciprocal patterns and mutiny

... the apartment is bare. How can you not STRAY from the backyard,

unto a warm home, a place to rest. NOT to lie in excrement.

Of animals, so brash and stealthy,

a simplistic hearth to care for.

The fact that this tells a story is lovely, and the idea of the story is great. The fact that you took something so simple and turned it into a poem, it's wonderful. Great job.

Animals are so pure of heart. Their needs basic, while they give so much. Wonderful write.
