Tuition

Tuition

A Poem by CH Archive

The scampering of the little hand

plying against the glass canopy.

Plastic tegument, mocking me.

I know I'm getting older

in directly.

Clock sprung down the levee, screaming

"I'll allow you to speak your mind"

as long as you figure out

what i'll grow up to be.

Go to school. A bronze medal,

what will do is up to you.

University sprung down the levee

screaming, "tuition is rising"

their hover cars spin out of control.

This is a poetry break found in the booklet itself. "-----" was something of the same sort. I've decided not to shoot our RR's on this one, where I have already sent them out for "Running Around Circles". However, any review would be greatly appreicated.

But this is not one of the eight major parts of The World Is Splitting Open At My Feet!! It is simply a poetry break, included in the booklet. Thanks

I can completely relate to this poem; it's refreshing. While I always enjoy your vocabulary and can appreciate the general vibe of your poetry, often I find myself alienated because I haven't experienced something or other in my own life. The future is daunting, and it's a very confusing time in a young person's life, staring down these blind alleys and not knowing which way to turn. I'm applying for university this autumn. I have no idea where I'll go from there (Especially as I'm taking English literature). I'm just thankful I'm Welsh: the fees are around three times less than the rest of the UK. I really liked the imagery in this poem, then again the imagery is great in all your work. Good job!

"what i'll grow up to be." *I'll

I love this! A little looser that what you normally seem to do. It's different; I like it. :)
