A Poem by CH Archive

Took a switchblade to it --

A crinkled-cut, deep fried

Doll to comatose a dolly,

Stopping its spin.

It was like Casablanca

But without the plane.

Yet still with women,

Getting aboard them.

I was never good at this s**t.

Sentimentally, a dime,

And me always some crook cashier

Swiping it from the counter...

Great turn of phrase as usual from you Cole.Mysterious yet almost like unlucky in love or tentative. Love the lines It was like Casablanca
But without the plane

This one is on the money Cole. Great job with it. Perhaps this explains the iconic American image of fast cars, fast women and guns. Get your prick up ... lose the NRA membership card ... it might work better.
Welcome to Vegas sonny ... life is often a gamble but don't take your eyes off the Lady.

I found this to be a very intriguing read, one that will no doubt be interpreted in many different ways, but that is the beauty of poetry. Looking forward to reading more of your work.

smiles, reading this makes me think of food... maybe because of the first stanza....
again the puzzling art piece...
perhaps you need time to adjust on how things work...
because that's how we learn, to have patiences is much a great virtue!
great work my friend...

This is an intriguing piece Cole, especially how you refer to a particular product, and I think of texture, flavour, brand and then to further observations of women and I wonder if you are in a dream state or discussing a real life event? Nicely pieced together I thought.
