A Huge and Birdless SilenceA Poem by CH ArchiveA Huge and Birdless
Silence Communication
beggars, the homeless of elegancy -- Stripped
bare of their own worn-feet but still walking empty Planes
of stalled talking-- swooping from one vowel sound To
the next buzz word; media-synced drones to retrofired Blimps,
filled to capacity with cartoonist who illustrate Ugly-tales I’m a beggar for unintentional heroism. A beggar for a media spinning Pretty tales into month-long character studies. A media willing to Write the altruistic complexes of superman. A media to plaster Adhesive, smiling-stickers over their own bubbling, static shawls. And most importantly, a beggar for a media that is truthful. Lest, my empty ignorance tells beggars can’t be choosers And
choosers are a dying breed. - Cole Hayley, 2013
