and i realized i might never love you like that no, first i’d have to know what loving you like “that” entails, if you weren’t a bundle of soda-can bones and wet graph paper with unaligned lines, if your skin didn’t peel off and stick and dissolve on my skin, then, perhaps, i could hold you like “that” you venom you volatile you combust in dreary devastation abrupt stoppages in well enough life and in well enough events we entertain each other so well with, well, enough of “that" -- i declare i will not love you like it not here, not on this earth not on this rock dislodged from the proper rotation of things; a mile to the left of the frequency of heaven we are a mile too far to pick up a signal and perhaps a signal would relay to me: "well, in fact… you already love her like that, but in your own special way unimaginable to most, mostly you, but never her" © 2016 CH ArchiveAuthor's Note
