I stood in the halls of amenti

As if I was real

And I heard the soft panting

Of a dog with no ears

A tail of smoldering coal

And teeth like new gold

And no question was needed

As I knew the answer to come

I was facing my reflection

And I suddenly knew

Life was to teach me

Something brand new
