Between Life and ArtA Poem by William Listonfree verse
I want to reach with you
~ for us to outstretch our palms towards the gleaming sun and grasp that mystery between life and art ~ to let our fingers meet with whispering wind, intertwining in its gentle caress amid the light of our smiles. Sometimes I wonder how such a moment comes to life, one where heaven chimes its gentle harp and time interlaces with our fingertips, caressing our hearts in the warmth of a distant flame. I want to live with you, somewhere between the softness of a glowing moon and the tumultuous clash of an ocean against its shore, or where fiery lava cools at the touch of rain, as if it were but passion grasping for a softer hand. I want us to embrace life, to feel its flaring heat and touch the waking of its sighs. Like a spark ignites a candle, I want something so intense yet so delicate.
