Sativa Sunset

Sativa sunset, sing me to sleep.

Play me a melody, something so sweet.

Like a romance movie, we're in too deep.

Mind going numb, I'm giving in to the heat.

Hit it again, this life is killing me

My heart is in pain, I cannot conceal

The tears in my head, crying to be free

While I crush them back, my intoxicated heel.

The world feels like it's diseased

With all of the terror and misery

Whose machine can never be appeased

And will have beaten us all soon,

         you'll see.

A põem of contrasts Cass. Lines of love, sweet music and sunsets move to a different scene altogether. One of darkness and pain and I am reminded how much our world can be like that. Pleased to have stopped by this morning.
