Never Forgotten - France 2015

 

Hearts United with Painful Thorns of Sorrow,

Scraping the edges of Heaven’s tomorrows,

Grief’s distraction burns against Grey Skies,

Prayers Burning Blaze forever rises higher,

 

On each side of the horizon star lights flicker,

Glorious City of Lights you Glisten Loudly a

Rich Righteous and Unrelenting Symphony,

It is Heard, Seen, and Felt by all Humanity,

 

Though resounding heartbreak’s echo may pervade,

I pray unity and strength prevails each day.

 

The Eiffel Tower with dimmed lights,

Know in spirit we are by your side,

For those seventeen innocent lives,

Their patina shines like a beacon so bright,

We send love, mourning candles lit with you,  

 

You will never be forgotten!

 

Cowardly Monsters died, other vile beasts shout fanatical lies,

In vain, for glory goes to humanity, not the terrorist crazed.

 

And the gloomy days to survive,

We will never forget their lives.

Unforgotten, forever more,

France, we feel your cries.

"The Eiffel Tower with dimmed lights" really tugged at my heart.
The image you painted was heartbreaking, fitting, considering the situation. It's such a sad world sometimes, it's hard to understand why some of us do what we do, but it's beautiful to see the unity blossom after every tragedy. Wonderful piece you've written.

I feel sad because of all this stuff happening in the world, it really is sad to watch how everything you knew falls down piece by piece to an endless darkness....
Ah, but france will come back stronger and it's true:

7th of Jan was a hard day for the people living in france. Several gunmen targeted charlie Hebdo employees ,those heartless giants killed number of lives and wounded about 22 innocent people. They used some dangerous weapons and assault rifels like Ak47, really france is having a hard time. But you know police is working hard, some french citizens have been suspected being members of Al Qaeda. Eiffel Tower went dark marking tribute for people killed. People lit candles, joined railies, chanting slogans. It's all seemed like a bad dream for France.

My great great grandparents came from France
French on my mothers side of the family and
Staebell the name Originated from France so
it is French.

After so much conflicts and pain France has passed my wishes moves with you and hope for peace for all those who suffered and those who are left with this lifelong suffering...it has tugged to my heart..:))
