A Sacred Bond of Hearts

 

A sacred relationship between two

A holy bond of faith and truth

Revered and Strong together life long

A belief that never ends with strife

This is the devotion of our life

For infinity + infinity we will be

Loving constant hearts in sync

O dear, this vow we will keep

Forever together our belief

We make a home of joy and happiness

Like a warm fire, gently tended together

United, we are one not two

For eternity our commitment stirs

For that’s our unquestioning binding word,

Our life immortal with promises from above

Veiled devotion exposed every twilight & dawn

It’s our destiny and what we deserve

Together forever our love will remain strong

Happiness and joy will be lifelong.

sounds like a poem about a strong and real marriage. congrats on this, collabs are not always easy but the two of you seem to be excellent together at writing.

This was nice like all the others, had a deeper message than most. However, it didn't contain the rhythm of silent beauty you had in other poems. I think maybe it's because it's free verse. I've never liked the type, but the message was better than anything Shakespeare could cook up. He wrote Sonnet 116: Let me not to the marriage of true minds admit impediments", etc.. but yours is so much better. I can read it without having to use a "No Fear, Teresa Dale":)
