You're right. Fast-forwarding is a technique many guys use to get into girls pants quickly in the dating scene. You got to make them feel like they know you forever even if you met just yesterday. With this technique, if used expertly, one can do away with many formalities and take a short-cut. Oops I hope I didn't give away too much lol.
