Without bias

Without bias

A Poem by Tania Mo

Life is often unfair
unjust and biased
It should learn to
be more equitable
and impartial from
death that seldom
plays favorites and
freely embraces all...
Ask those who for
a living stitch shrouds....

Unfortunately when we are born an equitable life just isn't promised or guaranteed but death doesn't have any favorites...everyone dies at some point...nice write and perspective.

This is wonderfully said and so wise as well. Thank you for sharing your poem.

This is absolutely beautiful, a new classic in my mind! As I read it, I can tell how you picked your words carefully, to deliver the message exactly, and I think you did it perfectly. 'Death seldom plays favorites', is an absolutely wonderful line, it sounds like something that would go rather famous! I can easily see this piece getting very big. It's such a beautiful, smart-sounding piece, full of thought!

Death seldom plays favorites," that line is golden. You wrote a timeless poem here. One that fearfully will never get old with this world. Well penned. Tyfs

A very honest piece here i see . I lost a friend recently , he wasn't sick , young and healthy , so full of lfe one moment and then just gone , and all i can do is accept that and grief ... life isn't fair , we have all seen that , my friend , i secretly think that death is .thank you for sharing . keep safe and smiling .

I often wonder what the purpose of living is, if it just results in death
Kind of pointless!!

Most of your readers agree that death is the great equalizer & I agree this is mostly true. But in the world of covid-19, where we in the USA are getting close to a quarter million deaths, I would be remiss if I didn't point out that this is NOT an equal dying field. People who are rich get treatments not available to most others. People who are old make up about 80% of the quarter-million deaths. People who have no health insurance (usually poor people) are the ones dying. The inequities of death have never been so blatant & clear, as being almost as bad as the inequities of living! I love your poem & the message you are making . . . only a thought-provoking message like yours brings people to deeply consider a situation! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Indeed death the ultimate leveler as it takes all comers regardless and is unbiased. If we could lean to be less biased in life then perhaps the gap between birth and death could be more tolerable. Interesting question posed in a thinker's free verse.
