A heart

A heart

A Poem by Corwin

Sometimes the thing you wanted most

Is really right there in front of you

They considered,

Thought about it more

Decided they could treat you that way

Leading to a long night of texting

But you still want the one

You first sought out from too

Because what is a heart if it does not love

In one capacity or another?

And what am I

If not a broken sack of flesh

With a heart to crack, rip, and tear?
