baby deer

baby deer

A Poem by Corwin

the floor of my room

the floor of a store

I have no safe places

anymore

my legs tremble

as though I were just born

and I cannot think

anymore

my breath is gone

my hands, they shake

my ribs all break

and I'm not sure how much of this

I can take

I can't stand to see you

anymore.
