Remember Me...

Remember Me...

A Poem by G. Anderson

I hope you dearly remember me

As a desperate goddess,

Bending on my knees.

Remember my smile, flitting on

And off like frightened

Little wing-beats

Or my eyes, frozen like a deer,

Overflowing with hurt,

Fervor they leak.

Remember my hands touch,

So often filled with grace,

Or my hair's tangly kiss, Upon

Your wet face.

Just remember me, no matter the cost,

Just drift away like others,

Forgotten and lost.
