I Crave Love

Love..for the 100th time...

I wanted a dream
And that's what I got

I wanted a fairytale
And that's what I got

But something was missing
Where's my happy ending
That I was so eager to find

Love is something I need
I sort of crave it
I want my destiny
To end with not just me

I don't want to be lonely
Just need somebody
I don't want to be left behind

I know it's risky
There could be heartbreak
Which doesn't leave a good feeling inside

But I'll get over nothiing
If I don't have something

Show me what it means to be in love
Show me how it feels to be alive
Show me that there's someone out there who's kind
Show me that I don't deserve to die

Because happiness is a necessity of life
And that's how I want to feel tonight

A poem full of honest emotion and I understand that desire. :) I think we all crave love. We all want to find that perfect someone and have them by our side, feeling protected and adored.
If only it were simple to find that special person...I try to hold onto the notion of true love but it is always slipping away.
The fact that you open up so much in your writing, that you are transparent in what you say, it is what makes your writing amazing. And I am sure that you will find your special someone someday :) All we can do is hold onto hope for love.
