Sentimental Fool

I feel like I'm fading away
With tears in my eyes
I do begin to cry
My sight is blurring
I simply cannot lie
I feel like the song "The Scientist"
Has been written for me
But I'm scared of starting anew
I do not want to lose you
So slowly we grow apart
But just yesterday we were so close
And now I feel so far
I was indeed right
That I'd be looking back at then
As the good old days
I don't want you to leave
But it hurts to make you stay
If you asked me to describe myself with two words
I'd say "Sentimental fool"

I like the rhythm, you know the pacing is upbeat while the text is bittersweet. It's almost as if you're glad to be rid of whomever....I hope I didn't mis-read your intentions.

Aless, these are some heart-piercing words, and I can very much relate to this piece. A young girl like you, you managed to impress me with such words. Your rhyming scheme is on point, and you should know, I am a complete sucker for rhyming words.
