Within Green Eyes

From the collection of “Bodily Observations”

Brown speck in an iris,

A pill bug traversing a moss grown stone,

Jagged edges since stripped by downpour,

Moist vegetation molding to crustaceous feet

Marching towards a depression 

Of which pools with thick algae water.
