Gods

Gods

A Poem by CrimsonHints

I guess you can say we're all creators;
Small gods ruling from small thrones.
We do the choosing, we paint the picture,
We make our world, on our own.

Some men wear their crown in hellfire;
Wreaking havoc from their blood red skies.
They build their earth from shadows,
And fill her up with lies.

Others wear their crown in golden light,
Offering peace in an extended hand.
They build their earth with laughter,
And let it ring throughout their land.

And still others stay between the lines,
Offering nothing but neutrality.
They build their earth without borders,
Creating their version of normality.

I guess you can say we're all creators;
Small gods ruling with small crowns.
We build our lives, we build our worlds;
We make our air, and shape our ground.

I guess you can say we're all creators,
But, we created everything so perfectly flawed.
Because everything we ever created,
Was always something we were taught.
