InsanityA Poem by CrimsonHintsA brief moment of clarity inside a confused mind.
I'm in this dark vortex; this mad, swirling blackness.
I stretch my arms out, trying to reach past it. The wind is heavy, ripping at my clothes; I can't see my fingertips, and I'm afraid that I might go. My ears start to bleed as the wind begins to scream. The darkness closes in and, erases what I see. Then silence... The blue in the sky filters in with the clouds. Black specks in the air fade to the ground. On my peaceful plateau, I sit and observe, The golden silence caressing my earth. My vortex comes back, with shrieking and howling. The dark comes along with white fangs, and growling. My moment of silence passed, replaced with white noise. And my own words in my head, replaced with her voice. Then silence... The night is too long. © 2016 CrimsonHints |
