Looking Through Your Eyes

This is a poem that I wrote for my new love!

I use to view my life

Through other people’s eyes

But now you’ve come around

To let me see through yours.

 

The view there is wonderful;

Full of us together.

I being your beautiful Belle

And you my cuddly teddy bear.

 

Both of us have been hurt before

But I won’t let that stop us now.

Your love to me is irreplaceable;

The one thing I never want to lose.

 

There is d i s t a n c e between us now;

That won’t split us apart though.

I know that you would be here

If it were at all possible.

 

I long for things currently u n r e a c h a b l e;

Though one day I know they’ll be in my grasp.

Your loving arms around me

And your sweet, soft lips against mine.

 

One day I know I’ll have those things.

For now though I’ll have to wait.

And that is perfectly fine with me

As long as I know…

 

That you’ll ALWAYS be mine.

The grammar could really use some work right now and I know that. Just ignore it for now...
