moonlit poems

moonlit poems

A Poem by Crystal Overmeyer-Birmingham

late night inquiries
You snuggle in close
wrapping your warmth
toasting my core
lips find my neck
whispered moonlit poems
melting the hard days lies
I am safe here
I am whole as part of you
let the storm and rain flood the morning
tonight i live in the summer of your embrace

your words spill out like champagne...making me high! :)

A nice short piece that says a lot. I might prefer the word "sun" to your use of the word "summer" since this poem is about finding the light in the darkness.

About
I am a poet by nature. Words just speak to me and color my world. I away think of poetry as painting with phases, just as vibrant and life giving as they are messy and complex. more..
