Martian Token

A poem for planet Mars as he begins his forward motion in the sign of Scorpio.

I found a rock from Mars today,

Red with dirt, blood, and clay.

A strength unlike the others,

shared through war,

and with lovers.

Dry and dusty,

maligned and lusty.

At this moment,

transformed, elevated, sublime,

Samael becomes light.

A Martian token of purified emotion.

I don't understand lines 4 and 5, how lusty relates to a planet nor who Samuel is? Could you clarify those lines for me.

Hi! Thank you, I will gladly clarify. Samuel is just an old name for planet Mars. In astrology Mars represents the side of human nature that is male, sexual, passionate, and energetic among other things. The constellation Scorpio that Mars is currently in represents our deepest emotional nature and how it transforms. The planet going backwards in this sign is like a purging of our emotions.
