Winter

Winter

A Poem by Big-Blue-Apoptosis
"

Needs more substance, I could use suggestions

"
The tarp flapped loosely,
as wind passed through
that hollow Walgreens
being built on my street.
It reminded me of flies
buzzing around a dead carcass.
But behind those flies,
I could hear the calls of the damned
and I wrapped my coat tighter
to keep their misery from me.

The trees caught frost like spider-webs,
or suspended clouds,
that caught the gold glint of light
from the stars, and gleamed in the night.
and this was my only comfort
I had found myself in purgatory.
