Smart Meters

They are not really smart

Why do I need a smart meter?

They say I can see how much it is costing at that moment

If I want to make a warm drink: wash the clothes; watch TV

I turn the items on

So it costs

Turn them off

No warm drinks: cooked meals: clean clothes

 

I only have a few items constantly on

Alarm clock; answer machine; central heating controller

I have nothing on stand bye

Why do I need a smart meter

It doesn't reduce my bill

I cant even read how much electricity I have used

I read my meter monthly

I have a graph showing my usage over time

 

I don't need a smart meter

I don't want a smart meter

I provides no useful purpose

wow.. nicely described the function and everything... for practicality purposes we do away for things which are not that necessary so this poem is like giving out necessary information

The idea seems to be to cut out the meter reader the smart meter sends the readings to them
BUT we also have gas and the gas meters are not smart meters

My job used to be describing things
